The war’s been escalated: Richard Walker has a graphic that adds QA to the mix!
It’s funny because it’s true. Apparently this graphic was first done in French and then translated by Alex Toulemonde.
For something similar, check out an earlier entry of mine: How Fanboys See Operating Systems.

Just great! And completely to the point :)
Very very true. Hucking filarious.
Clearly, the Developers have got it right.
im a programmer myself, and i hate designers and project managers. ahahahaha
Haha. Great diagram! Would be cool with 2 other dimensions: salesmen and consultants.
Truth!
I wonder what would testers and operations look like
tester the same as developer…hehe
PMs are stupid.
project managers are kick-ass! ;)
nice picture, but who will win the war?
That was to the point and full of humor.
But when I consider it a little bit more I think that we can’t live without the others.
So we have to cooperate and make sure that this is for the benefit of us all and not only for the boss-stock.
The developer as seen by designers is spot on! For high ranking developers that is.
It’s funny, but at the same time, it blows my mind that it is so difficult for all of us to have just a line with developers seen by developers, designers seen by designers and PMs seen by PMs. Those views are not excludent but complementary to each other. A organization/team with just one of them is just a bad one by definition since it will be missing essential skills and perspectives/point of views.
