E. Gary Gygax, who as co-creator of the Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game, died this morning at the age of 69 at his home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. As a former dungeon master, I feel the urge to get some mead and pour 2d20 ounces on the ground outside the former Yonge Street location of Mr. Gameway’s Ark for my dead homie.
Requiescat in pace, Gary. You were a natural 20.

Mr Gameway’s Ark… man, haven’t heard that name in a while.
Were you ever up up upstairs in the star trek bridge?
@Justin: Yes, I got a decent look when they had the Star Trek bridge mockup upstairs. I also bought a lot of D&D stuff and played a lot of console games there.
Surprised to see so many who remember this place! I worked there for a couple of years in the ’78-79 time zone I think. Anyone know or remember what became of Peter Statner, Ron Rowan, Maggie Husband, Teri White?
